We welcome pets as long as they are leashed and under control at all times. You are required to clean up after your pets. Never leave your pet unattended. Only one pet per site is permitted without prior management approval. You must have vaccination paperwork available at check-in. Any violations of these rules, or pets that are unruly, will result in pets being required to leave the campground. (Certain aggressive breeds are not allowed.)
ONLY CERTIFIED BUG-FREE PACKAGED WOOD is allowed to be brought into the campground (no exceptions) or you may purchase our heat-treated hardwood .75 cu/ft bundles at the office. Bundles brought in must either be certified as bug-free by 1) carrying a USDA APHIS seal OR 2) a label statement specifically noting that it meets NH heat-treated standards. In an effort to protect the future of Fransted and the beautiful White Mountain Region, we all must do our part to stop the spread of infectious pests. Thank you for your utmost cooperation and understanding of this important preservation policy. Gathering wood from the forest for firewood is strictly prohibited at Fransted. No burning of construction material/pallets/lumber scraps or anything other than split firewood.
Noise Policy / Quiet Hours:
Our campground is in an area that abounds with natural
noises. We hope that this is one of the reasons you have
come to the White Mountains. Our measurement of your
noise level includes how it is affecting your neighbors.
If it is unacceptable to them, then it is unacceptable
to us. The hours between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM are
considered quiet hours. Any conversations after 10:00 PM should not be audible outside the area of your site. All outdoor RV lights and any type of site decorative lighting must be turned off at 10:00 PM.
In the same regard as our noise policy, activities or actions at your site should not be disturbing for or interfere with your fellow campers’ ability to enjoy their stay. Outdoor TV’s/Theater and Star Shower LED Laser Light devices are not permitted at any time. As a result of input from our guests, all yard games are permitted to be played only in our front field common area.
Fires should be kept small and under control at all times. Flammable accelerates should never be used with a campfire. Fires must not be left unattended and must be extinguished with water when you retire for the evening or leave your site.
All fires must be out by midnight.
Fransted believes camping should be a fun experience with the opportunity for all to enjoy. Fransted Campground has zero tolerance for drunkenness, use of illegal drugs, and disorderly conduct. Campground management is committed to removing from the campground anyone or thing who’s behavior is deemed inappropriate or disruptive to other campers or the campground.
Drones & Electronic Flying Devices:
To preserve the natural setting and ensure our guests privacy and safety, drones/electronic flying devices of any size are not permitted at Fransted or on the 45 acres of private land associated with the campground.
Preservation of the natural beauty of Fransted and the White Mountain Region is our responsibility. There should be no dumping or littering at the campground. Trash receptacles are available for your use. Cutting, destroying, or removing any structure, tree, plant, natural feature or wild animal is prohibited.
In order to preserve the quiet, natural camping setting our guests have come to expect here at Fransted, motorcycles are not permitted past the front parking area at any time. There are no exceptions.
All visitors to the campground must stop and register with the office upon their arrival and receive a visitors pass. Day visitor hours are 8:00 AM
- 8:00 PM and their cars are parked in the front office parking lot. Unregistered visitors will be asked to leave the campground immediately.
No day or overnight visitors are allowed for Memorial Day weekend, 4th of July week, Labor Day weekend, and Columbus Day weekend.
All vehicle and bicycle traffic must yield to pedestrians. Campfires are only allowed in designated firepits, and firepits may not be moved for any reason. Smoking is not allowed in any campground buildings and or around propane tanks. Please use consideration when smoking around others and always distinguish/dispose of appropriately. Firearms and/or Fireworks are NOT permitted on campground property for any reason.
Violation of these rules could mean early departure without refund.
